This is an amazingly important week for economic data. Yes, I am going to nerd out here for a minute, but each of these numbers has an impact on how the FED sees our progress in the fight against inflation.

Jerry P, the FED chairman, sees himself as the man of stainless steel in the fight to get inflation to below 2%. He might take another look in the mirror as he is more like a cross between the tin man and the cowardly lion.

Any sideways reporting on these numbers might create issues for the FED as they determine the trajectory of interest rates at the next meeting. While we do not anticipate a rate cut, the language at the FED meeting can move rates significantly, especially if the FED uses strong language to show that they are delaying any cuts.

We are going to hang out here with our finger on the trigger this week, anticipating a scenario where we may need to rapidly lock, but hoping for good data to be released.
